About Us

We are Charlie & Tom, founders of Nestie. We’re also parents, designers, makers and lovers of the great outdoors. Since having children, we’ve come to realise that time really is precious, but also that time well spent is truly time worth spending.

At Nestie, we’re inspired greatly by our passions of hand-crafting beautiful, functional and well-made things, as well as our love for nature and the outdoors.

The vision behind Nestie had been created long before a name or a logo had ever been thought up. It’s true though, these things had to be put in place to create what you see today, but what resulted is not just a business, but a brand that truly believes in the messages and ideas that we portray.

Our Promise

We’ve made a commitment to our families, our customers and our communities to consciously act in a way that is responsible, sustainable and to offer true value to all that contribute to making the Nestie brand what it is.

It’s our mission to produce well-made, timeless pieces that are designed to withstand the beautiful chaos that is family life.

Nestie was born from an idea designed to spark imagination in parents and children alike, where quality and functionality is built in and something that you’d not only come to love, but what you’d expect from us.

Everything we love goes into everything we do.

What it means

A Thought from Charlie

"To me, making things has always been about the magic that you can create from seemingly nothing. You take a few materials, a small tool kit, an idea and best of all, a story. You'll need a bit of time to put it all together, but nothing more."

"It doesn't take much to immerse children in a world of imagination. Kids are created this way and nurturing a inquisitive mind is easy. All we have to do as parents is to offer them ways to explore their curiosity and support them in their journey of learning and growing."

Why it's important

A Thought from Tom

"Becoming a parent taught me that kids, especially younger children, learn through their eyes first. They watch, then they try themselves and then everybody has to clap. It doesn't matter if you're Mum, Dad or the postman who arrived at just the wrong time."

"Making things that support children to learn and their families to facilitate that learning is an amazing thing that we're so proud to do. My goal is to have children wanting to explore nature and the outdoors due to being inspired by their indoor environment."

Don't forget...

Hands build houses, Hearts build homes.

"We set out to make every piece in our collection a statement piece. Something that you'd be happy to show off to friends and more importantly, a piece that enhances the lives of your family, one way or another."
